Subcommittees
CRWRF is a working board made up of volunteers who are responsible for Board governance and the administration of donated funds.
As a subcommittee of CRWRF, the Education Bursary Fund (EBF) exists to provide financial support for postsecondary students in developing areas. Working with local selection committees, deserving students receive assistance towards their tuition and other educational costs. Currently, the EBF’s work is focused in Kenya, where they have longstanding partnerships with several Children’s Homes, but there is a desire to expand the program to different communities with which the CRWRF has connections.
As a subcommittee of CRWRF, Faithworks exists to provide development assistance by sending out teams of volunteers into short-term mission situations. Each Faithworks trip has two goals: to serve others and to learn about others. Recognizing the rich blessings of Salvation through Jesus Christ, members of each team demonstrate their faith through their works (James 2:18), serving in the face of earthly poverty.
The Board of Mission Aid Smithville (BOMA) is a committee established to coordinate support for the current mission project in West Timor, Indonesia. BOMA meets regularly with local contacts in Timor to address needs, offer encouragement, and uphold our brothers and sisters there in prayer. The committee reports to both the Board of Mission–Smithville and CRWRF regarding its ongoing work.
